Hello,

I have a friend that is considering a Toyota MR-2 Spyder and I was wondering how this car compares to the MCSC. I heard that the MR-2 is no slouch in the agility department either.
So how does they compare performance wise?

I might be able to help a little here as my last car was a MR2 spyder.

Both cars are v. agile...the MR2 possibly has the edge on turn in and cornering. Performance will be similar.

However, the Mini has much higher image and fell-good quality factor inside.

It's a tough choice, but I would base it on:
# do you want rwd mid engine?
# do you need more than 2 seats and a little practicality
# do you want the greater "coolness"/image of the Mini

Thought the MR-2 was discontinued. IMHO I would strongly lean toward something currently in production.

Thanks all. I tried to convince him to get a MINI and although he really likes the MR-2 he is going to check out the MCSC!
