Offline | it's a good job i am stubborn why is every one telling me not to go for the convertible, all my friends are into cars as cars are their careers but i don't know if it is jealousy, they say a friend of a friend has had none stop problems since day one. they also tell me to stay with the hard the top as they are more reliable look better and are better to drive. they go on about the roof fabric is pants they rattle more times than a kids toy and the rear window glass is to weak... ? thing is i am a stubborn old *** and still want to get a cabby i know when i get one and if it starts going wrong i am in for a bumpy ride with my mates. |

| MINI2 Senior | Aw.... don't listen to them. The convertible drives great, looks fantastic, and is loads more fun when the top's down than a regular MCS. So far (admittedly only one month), my MCSC is less rattle prone than my 02 MC was. And that includes driving down an unpaved road. |

Offline | I agree, don't get one. When the roof is up it is ugly Hyper Blue/Blue MCSC with Chilli 'No man will make a great leader who wants to do it all himself' A. Carnegie |

Offline | I've had both and would not swap my Conv for a Tin Top now for any reason, I know some people have been unlucky with there's, but it was a brand new car and early examples of any new car have these type of problems. I would say that unless you are a certain German F1 driver you would not be able to tell the differnce in the drive between the two cars apart from being slightly more road noise, but when you can get the roof down it puts a smile on your face that a Tin Top never will. Ultimately get want you want, and unless your mates are paying for it what the hell has it got to do with them. Try telling them you hate there car and they would look better in a Skoda and see how much notice they would take of you !! |
