| knowing me, knowing you | I don't have the photo myself, but my dealer showed me one, it is basically just the top section of the light unit that is clear, the dividing line is pretty much straight across the unit. IMO looked poor and couldn't see the point in just this little bit being clear ![]() You can if you want clear lights fit the old full lenses, Mikey the MINI has done this and its on his website newministuff, and you will find a link in the sponsor section of MINI2 ![]() Its only a forum you know! ![]() |

Offline | Hi, I am a bit confused. What is the differnce between what Mikeythemini is selling and what BMW Mini is selling as the clear rear lenses ? Are there any pics of BMW Mini's rear clear lenses ? Thanks. Alex |

| knowing me, knowing you | What Mikey has on his pic is the pre-facelift lights, they need a bit more work to fit them and work, but well worth the effort IMO, the others, well those are the present light format, both are BMW ![]() I know which ones I shall be putting on my red MCSC thanks for the pic again Mike![]() Its only a forum you know! ![]() |

Offline | Hi Rakey, The ones which Mike sells were the ones I originally wanted from Mini Park Lane, but they told me that they were not available. When I saw the article about the clear rear lenses for £85 from Mini, I thought that was so cheap. It know seems that that is not the same product as the one Mike is selling. How can Mini UK mislead us ? Alex |

| MINI2 Regular | I was anticipating something a little more, erm white than this, but it does look OK in the flesh, goes well with rest of car spec - but £35 is pushing it, IMHO should be a no cost option like the white wheels. Will live with the car for a few months before considering changing.... Gary ![]() |

| knowing me, knowing you | I don't think its MINI UK, more likely to be the dealer, they aren't always that switched on, ask him what day of the week it is, if he gets it right then you are a lucky man Park Lane is a newly opened and enlarged dealership, and one that I have heard in the past aren't exactly the best for info or accurate info, you might have got a new sale person, there could be a number of reasons really But there is no excuse, because at the end of the day he should care as much as all of us on MINI2 and know as much about the product that he is selling. Oh and don't ask him what day of the week it is on a Sunday or Saturday as he might think you are just rubbing it in that he is working and you are out shopping![]() Those lights posted by Mikey, are not available from MINI as an option for any of the 05 spec cars, only as a spare part to go in a pre-facelift car. But with some changing of the bulbs with your trusty soldering iron you can make them compatible, or just buy them from Mikey already done ![]() Its only a forum you know! ![]() |

| knowing me, knowing you | I think the price increase is there basically to make it seem a bit more premium, as really the process for making the lights clear is only marginally more to make those, then add of the smaller numbers of production and the management of the part in the assembly process, hmmm actually £35 should cover it with the dealer margin in there too ![]() ![]() Its only a forum you know! ![]() |
