Offline | Very nice indeed. Bonnet stripes should normally be a legal requirement for MOT purposes. Yellow is not such an obvious choice, so I think that can be downgraded from "legal requirement" to just "essential" Joking aside, it's not a huge commitment as they simply peel off if you really don't like them.I will be colour coding the arches on mine as soon as time allows (about 2007 at this rate!) because it just looks so good. I've seen it done on a yellow hard top and it looked fantastic. Go for it... Tigger. ![]() I'm back!! Offline | If you are talking about black grill bars and a chrome surround then that's the standard grille on a MINI One. Tigger. ![]() I'm back!! AND I'm not going to be intimidated! ![]() For sunshine, fun and Cornish Pasties: New MINI Kernow Cornish Oggy Run 2009! |

Offline | Aero Grill http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthrea...t=75109&page=5 Try this link in the Exterior forum. Sounds like you want to mix the Chrome Aero Grill with the Black Aero Grill. I say "DO IT!!!" And go with black viper stripes on the bonnet and boot. Just my opinion. I want to do the black aero grill on out BRG MCSC. ![]() |

Offline | Hey mutilator - nice mods. Please can you post some pics of your interior mods particularly the carputer. Part done pics or even telling about your plans would be great too. Getting my MSCS in less than 2 days. Planning to put a carputer in as soon as I can decide what will fit where. I like Nano-ITX but it is not out yet and may not be for a long time http://linitx.com/news.php?news_id=79#newsid79. That leaves a Mini-ITX or even the very tasty new Mac mini.Screen placement is the big issue for me though. I have seen http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/trurl_pagecontent?lp=ja_en&trurl=http%3a%2f%2fwww. naviokun.com%2ftext%2fsp_technique.text%2fmove_min i_01.html but as I don't speak Japanese I am a bit knackered. It would work very much if this http://www.digitalww.com/IH002.htm vaporware ever comes to light though.Have you see any good MINI carputer install pictures as I have not been able to find many? Are you the the mutulator from mp3car? Cheers |

Offline | thats me yea im droppin a epia in, m1000, im doin a full boot install, filling the boot with a sub box, but the box is separated at one end and a hinged top on it sos i can get my carpc built in there. im just gathering parts at the mo, infact once i got a HDD im ready to go, just got my wifi card and ext antenna (which is goin on the back of the rear headrest.) by the way im gonna try to move the heater controls down below the switches and mould a screen into where the heaters/stereo were, i want it to look factory too, so im gonna shorten the gearstick so it dosent look wierd infront of the heater controls... although it will never look perfect since it will block the cup holders.... but ill have to sacrifce those anyways, that website looks good. ill have to look into it my system will have ODBII/gps etc too, what you looking to do? are you in the uk? whats your mp3car nick? tom. |

Offline | Sounds like a great setup - should sound great too Not fussed about the cup holders they seem a little bit colonial to me just like the bizarre concept of having an auto box or an arm rest each to their own of course. ...London based - but you can't have everything. I just lurk on mp3car - still picking up info till I can add something useful back. Is it just me or does it seem that things are always 99% finished.... 800x480 sucessfully on a lilliput or xenarc, motorized in-dash touch screen housing, Nano-ITX ..... As for the carpc I think DVD, DVB, MP3, GPS, web browser, Bluetooth, WiFi are good to start off with then experiment with ODBII possibly a PS2 and anything else that people would like to suggest! I have the HK sound system so will live with that for a while before venturing boldly on that front. I have auto AC so that should make the dash jiggery-pokery a little easier. I thought about keeping the AC and toggles where they are and moving the HU below the toggles. I need to get a couple of down tubes to play with but tried it out theoretically at the very helpful http://www.coolnew.co.uk/index.html with a spare dash of their's and it looked very plausible. I'll try and post some pics of MINI installs here to keep them all in one place if you don't mind me abusing your thread? |

Offline | no problem man. i cut some mdf to size ready to put into the space where the heaters/headunit are, and am about to start fabbing the screens bezle into it, i wish i had AC now, cus its gonna be a pain in the **** to move the heaters down. on the sound front, im going for infinity referance components in the back, (75rms each) some infinity kappas in the front (i think, and roughly 150rms) and some random 12" sub, infinity/somethin like that 500rms ish. an amp in the boot, and one under passanger seat. gotta strip the whole car out to run cables tho, thats the ****** side of the carpc. mine will do dvd/divx all that crap too. oh and im experimenting with bluetooth at the mo, so that should be good. tom. ps you seen digital-car .co.uk? |
