Offline | Leaking Roof Hi Everybody, Is anyone else having problems with their Roof?? When its Raining I get soaked every time I open the Door. Water just pours in and soaks Me and the Seat!! I spent all Day yesterday Driving around sat on my Coat. Also, what do you think about the Roof when its set half way back?? Do you experience excessive wind noise in the form of a loud whistling noise?? |

Offline | This "leaking" problem is common to most convertibles because they do not have a gutter. It was a particular problem in the 206CC. The attempt at a rubber gutter only makes things worth because a gap in the seam means that the water is directed to one spot. Trying to get children in the back in the rain is a recipe for very wet seats. An interesting challenge for the leather vs cloth seats question. The sun roof is fairly useless and noisy but at least it allows you to get the roof half down in preparation for the next set of traffic lights. Summer's coming! ![]() |

| Livin' the country life | As rentagas said the lack of a gutter is the reason for water entering the car when the doors are opened. Here in New South Wales Australia we have had two days of pouring rain and gale force winds and my MCSC was in the midst of it. I have to say that the soft top is awesome I have found that if I want to get into the car without getting too wet wipe down the edge of the soft top just near the A pillar with you hand before opening the door and you will get less water drops falling into the car As to the sunroof function, I like it It gets very hot over here in Oz,too hot for roof down motoring especially in the middle of the day. With the sunroof you can open it in combination with the rear windows and still be in the shade(depending on how far you open it) with a fabulous breeze entering the car Also as noted by rentagas, sunroof open, windows down before the lights = 10 seconds to converted at the traffic lights (I do that all the time!!) ![]() ![]() |
