Well after a ridiculous 11-month wait for my Cooper Convertible, and many changes of spec and colour, I finally took possession of my car today and first impressions are very positive!

It had been raining for most of the day but the sun came out as I drove away. Almost poetic. No early signs of roof wear issues or any of the other apprehensions I had (although I'm not convinced the PDC is working, will check this out tomorrow).

Top marks to the dealers too - I'll happily name them: Elms Cambridge. Might even name the salesperson if pushed, can't fault them.

Delighted thus far...and here she is:

Beautiful. Congrats! Mine should be arriving this week. Gotta sell the Passat and Miata first though...

Stone me! I too had to sell my Passat (3.5 years old, first class) to help finance the MCC!

Been getting to know her today. Faultless (I'm pleased to say). You will not be disappointed.

Are you going for Interior Trim in Red? Believe me, it isn't "red", it's "RED!!!!!"

Yep, that's what changed my mind from Dark Silver to Chili Red - that hot looking red dash and door rings!

You have any other pics of yours yet? How about some interior shots?

Yep, took my camera with me to the handover and headed off to find a good place for some shots. Just need to find the time to get them uploaded into the gallery.

Yeah baby! Red dash + chrome = that's what I'm talking about!

I wish I had been able to get black cloth (or cloth + leather) on my MCSC, but only space gray is offered here in the States on that model in cloth and only sunrise blue in the cloth + leather.
