Hey everyone,

I just got my Cooper convertible after owning a 2004 cooper. I had a totally custom trunk in the last car and to my dismay the new trunk is a little more narrow than the old one so I have to redesign the whole system from scratch. Anyways, I started today by running the power wire to the trunk from the hood (or from the bonnet to the boot) which went reasonably well. The problem was when I tried removing the rear seat. The back of the seat I had no problem with, and in the '04, to remove the bottom part, I just yanked. Well, today I yanked, and nothing happened. I didn't want to yank too hard in case I broke it. Has anyone here removed the bottom part of the rear seat yet in the '05?

Another question - in the '05 convertible, how do I gain access to the rear lights of the car? I need to tap into the reverse light to power my camera
