Offline | Will aero side skirts fit convertible model too or do I need a specific part?? Hi Having bought the Cooper S fuel cap for my convertible and assumed it would fit, I've learnt to check before I buy this time. I'm about to order the left and right aero kit side skirts for my mini cooper convertible and wanted to check they will fit this model of car. I'm ordering them from Mini Speed and they are the genuine BMW parts. Do the side skirts fit any of the mini models or do I need to get specific convertible parts ? It looks like there's a difference when you buy the front and rear parts but I have assumed the side skirts are the same for all models. Is this right? Hope someone can help me - I'm hoping to order tomorrow so if anyone knows could they let me know. Thanks in advance!!!! Lizzy ![]() |

Offline | I am hoping so because I've asked for them from the group buy. This involves a mini dealer so they will be taking the order itself so there is little chance they will get it wrong- which is the beauty of the official group buy. Are you really getting your skirts already painted for less than £235? If not why not join the group buy? (see exterior forum) |

Offline | Yes they fit the convertible I've just looked on the minispeed website, there price including VAT is £280 for primed skirts only, they still need painting. The group buy is £235 including VAT for factory painted ready to fit skirts ![]() You need a pair of grills too at about £5. They are closing the offer at 11am tomorrow morning http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthread.php?t=88616 |

Offline | Well I have got a full aerokit fitted to Tango without any problems! (I think the only difference between the tin topped and soft top versions are to do with the fixings of the front and rear bumpers due to the extra strengthening that is required for the convertible - well thats what I was told by my dealer) MINI One Convertible Hot Orange, Full Aero Kit, Heated Sports Seats, X-Lites, etc |

Offline | The aero skirts definately do fit. I put them on my car - but the only problem was having to loosen the bolt at each side. The bolt is for the cross bracing on the convertible to compensate for the lack of roof. If your going to fit them yourself it may help if you can get hold of the proper fitting for the head of the bolt. I had to use a pair of mole grips and this was far from ideal. |
