Hello All

I just want to say hello and to thank the forum for convincing me to buy and help me spec my new Mini

I have been a fan of the the classic mini for about 20 years have have owned about 30 in this time and like most classic owners I was not impressed with the new Mini at first and dismissed it as a fashion accessory!!

How wrong was I, I hired a few for weekend trips and was mightily impressed by the car. BMW seem to have engineered the fun of the classic into the new one, in a world of new boring cars that drive themselves these cars have all the charm and character of the original mini and i am now a very proud owner!!!

I have been reading these forums for about 6 months now and they have helped me spec up the car (I never would of thought to get heated seats to prolong topless activity into the Autumn months)

The car is

2005 MCC in Cool Blue
Silver vipers
Full Leather
Black roof (better contrast than the blue I thought)
Heated seats
Aux input for Stereo
Steering wheels controls and Cruise
Chrome int and ext
Chrome Mirror caps
Visibility pack
Chili Pack with Bullet alloys
Mini child seat

Things i wish I'd added

Air con
Harman cardon Stereo
A supercharger!

Glad to see a great community round these cars to, and so far the dear has been great (Williams Rochdale) although I did have to go back to have the alarm programmed to lower the roof from the key fob after asking them to do it for delivery.

Incidentally I have started to get the white marks on the roof and will be speaking to the dealer about this when it goes back for first oil service or sooner of it gets any worse and I have not yet had the scratches appear on the rear windows (car is 5 weeks old)

I saw one similar to yours here in the States a few months ago and loved it. I must say that the cool blue with silver viper stripes is one of my favorite combinations! Yours looks great!
