Hi all
I ordered a MCD about 6 weeks ago. I was told that I should expect delivery around the 14th and maybe the following week. I haven't yet heard any update and have asked the dealer for any news. I will let you know their response.

Has anyone had any confirmation of a delivery date for a MCD?

I've got nearly a confirmation.

They told me today that their delivery date of the 27th was now likely to be a week earlier.

Sounds good to me.

The delivery date I have been given for the MCD I ordered at the beginning of the year is week beginning April 15. But there are many qualifications. "We will do our best" etc. Still can't get an insurance quote, except on the Mini web site insurance link.

was told mine was being born week begining April 15 and delivered the folling week but will always hope for slightly early del !

We're being told to expect her about a week after launch.

How come others know the day and hour of build, shipping and delivery, we can't get anything!

week commencing 23rd April but may be towards the end of the week I have been told.

Have my insurance quote fro RAC insurance - same price as my current Hyundai Santa Fe - so quite pleased really given the increase in value etc

The official line from my dealer is:

"I've checked the car and it's at what we call status 1200 - it's scheduled for week 16 production which is week commencing 15th April and delivery normally within about 10 days from that.."

So potentially it could be the end of April if we take 10 days from the end of the week commencing the 15th, or even the start of May!

The first to get one post it on this thread, so we all get to see...

My dealer rang this morning and said that my Cooper D is arriving at the garage 11th to 13th and that I will be able to pick it up on the 16th. I was also given a choice of 3 reg plates to ponder over. I'm starting to get excited.

Just heard from my dealer that my MCD is now built and now sitting in Oxford! He will be 'calling it down' - asking for it to be transported to the dealership - but that won't be activated until Tuesday because of the Bank Holiday. Mini Park Lane promise that they will do their utmost to get it to me by April 14, the launch date, but that they think that may be pushing it. Its more likely in the week after. Go for it Mini Park Lane!

Seen a cooper D demo at my local dealers this morning. Pepper white with cream line interior. looked very smart. Cant wait to drive it next weekend.

I orderd my Cooper D last week, and got the message that he will be ready by the 25th of may.
Not that bad.

My Cooper D did not make it today, April 14, the launch date, despite its build being completed on April 6 and despite the efforts of Mini Westminster/Park Lane to get it to me. Now told that I should be able to collect it on April 19. Seems crazy that it takes Mini 13 days to get the car some 60 miles, but there is apparently a huge backlog in Oxford. Pretty disappointed, given the order was placed minute the books opened. In Mini Park Lane this morning there seemed to be no fanfare for the launch of either the Mini One or Cooper D, which were nowhere to be seen, nor any literature on the Diesel.

Park Lane are an odd bunch on that score, My GP came from there and as it was the first one they had ordered and delivered I sort of expected something a bit special on hand over, but it was just like picking up an ordinary car really. I think independent dealers may be more enthusiastic as the staff seem to identify with the car and the owners a bit more.

Lucky guy I hope you really enjoy it and take the time to let us know what you think. Called my dealer this morning, having been told a week ago that they had no information, only to find out my MCD has been delivered and I should be getting it on Saturday.

just had a phone call from dealer car is arrivering at dealers on Tuesday and picking it up on Thursday so i will have it in time for The Massive Mini Meet on Saturday. With the drive up there the run and drive home should have nearly 600 on the clock by the end of the weekend. cant wait now!!

Hope It gives me goosebumps looking at the inside and outside.
Hope the Hi-Fi rocks.
Hope the gearstick doesn't feel as uncomfortable as it looks.
Hope I can still get the clear indicator lenses as I forgot about them on my spec.
Hope the seats don't sag....for years.
Hope it works.
