Offline | Driver Training Question Any ADI on here ordered the new Diesel and know if the He Man Duals from the previous model is a straight forward swop ?. Just considering whether to order or not . If I do I will be going for standard spec as the price is a big jump from previous model. |

Offline | Hi - I'm an ADI and have got a Cooper D on order for late April delivery. The person who fits my duals can't confirm yet if the duals are the same for the diesel as He-Man won't 100% confirm until they have received a Cooper D to fit the duals to. They think 99% likely to be ok - but I'm told Mini won't let He-man have a car until launch day , so He-man are not giving confirmation. I was looking at mobility conversions website and they list the petrol & diesel duals but its not clear if they are the same. |

Offline | Hi i'am an ADI in burnley, my cooper d is arriving 20/4 HE-MAN couldn't say about dual fitment until they have fitted some, the first ones they are fitting is on the 19/4 when they can say yes or no to being the same as the old models, told my dealer and moved collection date back to 4/5 to allow for complications. Call HE-MAN they are really helpful. Paul |

Offline | Thanks for the replies guys , I did email He Man and prob get a reply after the BH weekend. Can any of you tell me does the Cooper D come with Steel or Alloys as standard and are sports seats standard spec ?. I"m just trying to keep the cost to a minimum and prefer steelies for work. |

Offline | Thanks for that Paul , the last mini I bought came with alloys ( there as as new in my garage) and I put steels/wheel trims on. Agree about the sports seats , they are more supportive than the standard ones. If I can justify charging £30 an hour I might go for one LOL. |

Offline | I always carry a full size spare in the boot ( minus parcel shelf ) , I did use the repair kit once on a lesson after getting a flat. I have given away free steels/tyres on here in the past as spares and will do so again when I get rid of current Mini ( put alloys back on when selling ). |

Offline | Paul, I have a set of 4 15" 7 hole alloys that you can have for next to nothing. The tyres are plenty legal, but one of the wheels does have marks - a wayward hammer drill. Drop me a PM if you're interested. |

Offline | Got a call from He Man today in response to my email , the duals fitted to the previous model Ones/D up to 2006 wont fit the 2nd Gen Mini . The duals that they supply for the 2nd Gen Mini may fit the Cooper Diesel but they wont know till the date posted above. So its new duals for me if I go for the Cooper D. |

Offline | Well after 5 years of Mini ownnership I regret to say I wont be buying another one , sad really but feel BMW have priced me out of the market with the new Diesel. I would be paying nearly £15500 with new duals and thats too much of an outlay for a tuition car returning £20ph locally. So I am looking at Fiesta Zetec 1.6TDCI at about £10350 , other option is the Seat Ibiza FR 1.9TDI ( very well specced ) about £12400. |

Offline | Seem good ideas for replacement cars - I've ordered a cooper D as an ADI car and I must admit that its not cheap. I'm trying to use every mind trick on myself to justify getting it .. good fuel economy, cheap car tax and the image which helps as well. I've only had my Fiat Grande Punto Sporting 130 bhp diesel for 7 months & taking a real hit on it re part-ex & having the duals removed etc - but I had a cooper and a cooper S a few years ago before I became an ADI , and I just loved my Minis too much ! |
