| MINI2 Regular | I'm interested in this too. Moving down from an MCS means I will miss an awful lot of power. However, its far too new for info like this to surface yet, although I'm sure it will. With enough tuning and modding a "Cooper SD" would probably be really refreshing and show even a well driven Cooper a clean pair of heels... Paul Student desperately finding a way to afford an R56. | MINI2 Master | but don't expect HUGE power gains, it's no VAG tdi lump which is a sham. Peugeot do build ok diesels, but there not as tuneable as the vag ones. Also you will be limited by intake temps as still a mighty small engine bay, and if you start whacking the boost up its gonna get hotter |

Offline | er.... wrong thread......but we'll forgive you ....my dealer was gonna give me it as a freebee but I wasn't interested in it![]() Seems expensive! This treatment can be done DIY, Paul has done a review on here somewhere ( try looking in the Exterior sections. If you don't mind polishing your car once a month then don't bother......seems to be a lazy mans shine this stuff ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Seems to be common claim to get power output 130bhp and torque of 288/294 NM from the various tuners (superchips/diesel tuning etc.) Anyone would think they'd deliberately detuned it to differentiate it from the 2.0 HDi and slip under the 120g emissions limit Such cars should hold their value well because there will be few second hand cars in 2008/9 that will get exemption from the London congestion charge (coming to a city near you?) ![]() |

![]() Addicted to MINI... | same as I said in another thread...the figures for in gear 50-75 are no good for comparing these cars, sure if you lazing around they are ok but if youre talking outright speed then the optimum gear for this speed in a cooper is 3rd which will be MUCH faster than 4th. Id expect it to be as fast if not faster than the dooper and you can hold 3rd all the way to 90![]() |
