Offline | You won't find any deal that will make much difference. I got PX price extended for a couple of months (worth about £300), and a set of rubber floor mats. Now I've got my new car (well I'll have it this time tomorrow) I want all those residuals to stay firmly in place. |

Offline | Id say so yes. When I had a test drive the guy told me that even if I wanted a car, he could not get me one until October!!!! Luckily I dont want to buy one, so no problem there. I'd say that your best option would be to drive a hard bargain on any dealer fit accessories that you want, as the margins will allow room for better negociation. Such as the aero kit you mention. A prime example of dealers discounting on accessories was when I had my spots fitted, I ended up paying £250 after receiving three quotes ranging between £380 and £290 Whereas with the Car its a case of they know they can sell it to someone who will pay full whack. Sad but true. James. |

Offline | Yeh, once the waiting lists have died down then I'm sure dealers may start offering more favourable deals. In the mean time though, I think your luck is out regarding between 6 - 10% of the list price. The thing is though, even if you do get a good deal on accessories your still spending money, and not nesscarily on stuff you would have orginally specc'd if you had got a decent deal on the car itself. Its a viscious circle!! If your looking @ finance then as someone has allready mentioned you could try for favourable terms on that as part of the deal? Or something like supaguard chucked in for free. Go to a few dealers and play them off each other and see whos willing to go down to the best deal, you dont nesscarily have to take the car back there for servicing / warranty work, just go there to get a good deal! ![]() James. |
