Offline | There is one thing I miss though - the cubby hole to the right of the steering column. I feel somewhat cheated, and have nowhere out of the way for window wipes. ![]() |

![]() Dooper is the dogz! | I noticed that when I was out just before - as i always used to stick wallet, phone, chewy in there to get them out of my pockets for driving. Also, the whole dash looks much better and more expensive than in the R53, but the lower dash plastics seem to be made of a lower quality plastic than previously. Anyone else agree? And, the little rubber pads from the bottom of the trays are not there in the new one either. No great shakes tho!! Am loving the Dooper to bits, and getting plenty of admiring glnces as I have been driving about!! The engine feels much free-er than I remember my Cooper to be when it was new - maybe it is cos of the diesel torque? B]It's ace!!![/b]![]() ![]() |

![]() Dooper is the dogz! | First dark drive this evening - how good are the interior lights?? Didn;t realise that the 'airbag' signy things on the B-pillar are back lit with whatever colour you choose - awesome! And the heartbeat is great too - been looking longingly out of the window watching it pulse!!! haha ![]() |

Offline | I've had mine for a month now and have only just discovered... ...that when reverse is selected and the rear wiper is on (intermittent), it switches to continuous. Quite helpful, but when the rear wiper is not on, it remains off when reverse is selected. That is not so helpful. |

Offline | Remember that smell. If it doesn't smell, you'll have big bills! Putting the right fuel in is something you have to concentrate very hard on when you change from a petrol driven vehicle. I've had diesels for 10 years now and have as recently as this year had a petrol nozzle inside the filler neck. You cannot imagine how pleased I was for not actually squeezing the nozzle. |

Online | Ahh i see. Where are you having them fitted mate? I had a new tyre put on my car at a Morecambe tyre fitters, think it was Morecambe tyres, they did a good job and they also put my Brothers 'Bullets' on his car (tyres were on the rims when bought) for something like £10 which wasnt bad. Treat us to a pic of the rims, I cant wait to see them on the car. I think it will be the 1st R56 I've seen with aftermarkets. James. |

I haven't seen any R56s with aftermarkets either yet.... ![]() |
