Offline | Ipod Trouble blues So picked up my Dooper last Tuesday (24th april) but was told latemorning on day of collection they were having problems with my Ipod connection.... Emails sent to Tech support and a couple of days later I get to book the Dooper in (No Courtesy car available and they need mine all day, fortunately the sales team give a damm and arrange for a demonstrater for me for the day- although I have to insure it) Go to pick my Dooper up at 4.45pm today (been told it would be 5ish when ready). Just pulling into the dealer and my mobile rings....... Its the service team ......Cant get the software to load , still having problems...it goes right to the end then fails....... they have tried several times Service team ask me to keep the demonstrator (which is a very nice softtop petrol cooper) for another day. Now I dont want to sound ungrateful here... but I want to be driving my car... Not the demonstrator of a different vehicle So as at this moment.... Car is not to spec ordered and I have no confidence that the Ipod connection will ever be sorted... what worries me more is that if they have to replace the Car HiFi they will have to pretty much take the dash out to do it....... Im really concerned that the car will not go back the way that its done in the factory. ![]() |

Offline | Yes, it is always a worry when the service team, no matter how good they are, have to start taking your car apart, good luck with this. At least the sun is shining (for now) whilst you have the soft top!! Does the Dooper come with Ipod connection as standard? I'm going to have a look at one this lunch time down at my dealers, I know I shouldn't, i'll end up ordering one! ![]() |

Offline | Well its day 2 and they still have not managed to solve the problem - sales team are being very patient and understading but that doesnt help me get the Ipod working!! They dont come as standard on the Dooper - think it was £300 to have fitted. Currently awaiting Tuesday to see what next move is going to be . Would be interested to know if anyone has had an Ipod connection successfully fitted to their Dooper??? |
