sport button

If the Cooper D does not have the sports button does that mean it does not have the overboost feature so will run torque at only 240Nm instead of the 260Nm with the overboost or does the sport button do something else ??????

Sport button has nothing to do with the overboost.

Sport changes steering feel/weight, and throttle response/behaviour.

We got the button, and it makes a great difference to the steering IMO, as for the throttle.....not really sure yet, still running the car in and haven't had too many blasts in it yet

So is it worth getting the Sport suspension too/instead or just the Sport button?

That depends on personal choice. If you can afford both,i would go down that route if not it would be the sport button i would have. you can always add sports suspension by going aftermarket at a latter date
