sports suspension

I'm new to the forum and just speccing a Dooper. Having the chili pack and mfsw amongst other bits. Is the sports suspension worth having? Most of my driving will be a motorway commute but I do like a B road thrash now and then. Both demo cars I tried the standard dampers and seemed pretty good to me.. but I've been spoilt by years of driving BM's

I find the ride/handling fine on mine. I drove a demo car with 17" wheels and SS - I preferred the car without SS as a daily driver. Not sure how much of that was due to the wheels or the suspension though.

Unlike many other upgrades changing the suspension components is possible aftermarket including a warranted JCW conversion. I haven't read a post saying. "i have tried the sports suspension in the cooper D and it is so much better" or a post "saying the standard suspension is rubbish, I wish I'd had the sports". Obviously the sports suspension will have subtly different characteristics in the D as opposed to the S. so I have not specified it. Having said that in my previous MINI I would have had the JCW suspension if it had been available.

thanks for the tips guys. I think I'll wait and see how the ride is with the runflat tyres and then look for the JCW kit if I really need it
