After nearly 10 weeks waiting i got a call from my dealer to say the new grilles were available to order! Yipeeeee! Now i can have the spot lights fitted, having already paid for them, might ask for a little goodwill gesture too!

Ha what a load of rubbish, i still await the arrival of the new grille after my dealer promissed me it would be here this week.....oh well 11 weeks and counting! How long does a grille actually take to manufacture?

My dealer confirms today the grilles are finally here. Yippee

Will fit the spots next Tuesday.

Well that is good news, yet to hear from my dealer! By the way BEP i notice you have the chequered decals on your gorgeous looking dooper, did you get them from, i think its mini pirate.com? After seeing yours i have ordered some for mine from the above mentioned site, £65 i think. Did you fit them yourself?

Hiya, yes the decals are from Phil/MiniPirate and were fitted by him. Awesome, good quality & job well done. Very pleased.

Oh you got them to fit them, you must live close by to where they hang out, wherever that is! I am going to do it myself, quite easy they told me, hope i don't make an **** of it! Your dooper looks the biz, i really like the yellow and black, it stands out. I have a chili red dooper with black roof and stripes so it should also look the biz i hope! Still no word about the grille, really not very good and i got a customer survey to fill in yesterday and let them know just how bad this whole episode is, 11 weeks now! When you get your spots on next week will you post a pic of it? Think i will when mine eventually are fitted, could be ages yet, in Greece for 2 weeks next week.

Red/Black looks nice too. Hope you'll get a call from your dealer when you're back from your hols. At least we know now BMW has got new grilles made and it's only a matter of time for your dealer to get them ordered/delivered.

FINALLY after nearly 4 months i am getting the spot lights fitted on my dooper (2 August). I went into the dealer and asked rather abruptly what was going on and the next day got a call saying they had booked the car in. Otherwise it might have gone on a bit more. Think they forgot about me really. AT LAST! Happy bunny now.

Well i took the car in again after my dealer said the grille was here, and when i went to pick it up.......no spotlights. Did i see red or what! 4 months this has gone on and they still for some reason can't fit them. They themselves (the dealer) where fed up too and were gonna ask BMW for some answers. Will keep you posted on developments.
