Offline | Hello welcome to MINI2! Mini dont do discounts you might get a dealer to do you something on dealer fit options but thats about it im affraid. Not sure about R56 specs but the R53's sold better with the Chilli pack used than without it. Its a very difficult job and the only way to get through it is we all work together as a team..... |

Offline | You should be able to find a dealer who will move on dealer fit options if you have proof you can buy the car elsewhere at a lower price. I did as I had a price printout from Sainsbury's bank. I got front and rear mudflaps, rubber mats and a model of a Cooper S. What options are best for attracting a sale is very much up to the individual. What would make you go and look at a car if you were buying 2nd hand? Most down south insist on Air Con. Personnally I don't have it on my car but could see if it was warmer here, it would be useful. Similarly I have Xenons fitted but if you are always driving in town in good lighting conditions Xenons are not necessary. Here out in the country they are good in unlit roads. Selling a car with Xenons might attract more attention. A Salt or Pepper pack would be recommended. I wouldn't go for a Chilli myself BUT I haven't seen an R56 with different tyre sizes together to compare them. I went for the visibility pack as I couldn't be bothered scraping the car windscreen on a dark frosty morning. I also took ASC+T in the hope I'd never need it and it also completed the bank of switches at the front. At the end of the day, it's your car. Fit the options that would suit you best after all you are the one paying for them. morrisminiminor |

Offline | Welcome gazhawkins I like you are new and have found this site very good. I found you can get discount off a mini if you use motorlogix.com or take the quote motorlogix give you into a mini dealer and ask them to match the price as I did and got almost £500 off the car and factory fit options. Hope this is of help to you. |

Offline | ...alternatively look for a Dooper Demo. A few dealers will give you immediate ownership on an ex demo Dooper (obviously with the unmodified engine and you won't be able to spec it and it will have been used - typically 3k miles) at about £1,500 off list. But it should be a "good" spec - meaning a popular, strong resale type spec. As the dealerships will want to be replacing their original Dooper demos now to swap into the modified engined versions, I guess there wikll be a few ready to be sold and bargains may just be possible. Ring around and remember - "shy bairns get nowt" ![]() |
