I come back off my hols after putting another £100.00 of fuel in my "S" and thought enough was enough also the tax is due and the thought of £205.00 to £35.00 just won me over.

Bought my Cooper D for September delivery just cant wait for it now but keep on thinkin I am I doin the right thing ???

Tax and fuel are killers with the old S.

The D is a great MINI, you'll enjoy it I'm sure.

Blue Cooper

I got rid of my Landrover Freelander for similar reasons - high tax and low mpg, despite being diesel. Yes, there is a huge size difference, but how often was I in the vehicle on my own carrying nothing more than my butty box! A friend in the industry has since said getting rid of a 4x4 now is perfect, before the whole market collapses - soon be paying £300-£400 tax. I will take my £35 anytime!
