Nice first post

Yes it is possible to fit cooper s bumpers to a D see the "exterior" forums

GTT can modify an S exhaust to remove the catalyst
GT TUNING MINI PARTS & PERFORMANCE CONVERSION

I'm not sure what the exhaust of a cooper D consists of see "performance and tuning". The tuning of the D is at the early stage.

Most reputable tuners claim fairly modest bhp gains for the PSA 1.6 litre HDi engine certainly not 35bhp-where did you get this and how did they prove the increase?

Hi Juliarno I was thinking the same questions as Rentagas.

Also you do realise that modding your car invalidates the warranty and the TLC package (Read the manual), so hope you don't need to use your dealer for any problems/servicing - unless you can reverse it easily?!.

You cannot remove the catalyst from a Cooper D. It is required to convert NOx to NO2 for soot-burn in the filter. Thus, if you remove the Cat, you have to remove the FAP (Particulate Filter).

Without the Cat/Filter, the car will produce smoke and attract attention!
I know police around Lincolnshire are now looking for excessively smokey diesels.

I hope this helps

Easy to fix, just put a Mercedes badge and a 240D badge on the back, they'll think the
smoking is perfectly normal.

From the Wiki page on the 1970's Mercedes Benz 240D:

It was at the time the fastest diesel engine available, though its 4-cylinder, 2.4 liter engine only produced 65 hp (48 kW). Along with a 3300 lb (1,500 kg) weight, performance today is considered extremely poor. Acceleration was negligible, and top speeds hardly exceeded 160 km/h (~100 mph).
