Dooper on the way

Hey all, I just thought I'd say hello.

I'll be getting a Dooper soon as a Company car - not sure what pack or options.

I must admit I am pretty excited, it may not been the fastest car, but I am looking forward to the handling, the 6 speed box and the overboost function.

My question is has anyone used the overboost function and what's it like. Plus why do over boost functions such as these - also found on Corsa VXR among others only give extra torque not power?

How long does the overboost last and where is the button (I've looked in so many pictures and haven't found it)? - It would be good if you could just keep it on all the time.

Cheers.

Not quite sure exactly how the overboost function works but I am fairly sure that there is not a button on the car itself to engage/turn it off.

From what the brochures tell me () the overboost kicks in automatically 'when you need it most'. I assume the electronics recognise if you are trying to do an overtaking type manoeuvre and then give more oomf from the engine accordingly.

Hope this helps!! Enjoy the Dooper!!

Obviously being a company car it'll be ragged quite a bit - what cheap reversable mods do you think I could do, I was thinking a chip or ECU remap and a manifold wrap.
