Question Cooper D Leadtimes?

what are people being quoted for delivery of cooper D's? just been into my local today to be told that i'm looking at December at the very earliest for a factory delivery. is this common or does my dealer just have a small allocation? they told me other dealers are looking January & even February

I know two dealers who can get Copper S's within about 8 weeks, so not sure if it would be different for a cooper diesel. December seems a long time to wait to me.

Ordered two Cooper "D's" back in the middle of June (driving instructors cars).

Due for delivery to the dealers mid August and taking collection beginning of Sept to get the new 57 reg.

I tried Coopers Tunbridge Wells and they gave me a build week 38. Went to Broad Oak Ashford Mini and they've got me one 3 weeks sooner

My personal experience is that it DOES depend on which dealer you got to - so perhaps there is an allocation system? I also found that you can help yourself by being quite specific on when you want your car. Your dealer will do anything to stop you walking out and ordering from the dealer down the road!

Just spoke to my local dealer who apparantly is the 'Largest in the UK' (his words not mine) - he said that due to them selling the most in the UK in the last financial qtr, they have been allocated two bonus slots for October delivery, however once they go it will be back to their usual lead time of November at the very earliest.

The local Bristol dealership have sold their quota for this year. They have one in the showroom available, other than that none until Jan. This doesn't affect the Clubman Doopers though.

You got the Oil bug then Pat??

shop round mate!...it does depend on allocation!.........and if you don't wanna move dealer and they wanna keep your business the can always get allocation from another dealer with spare (happens all the time)
