As some of you may know I sold up at the end of last year and im currently bombing around in a little C2 VTS which is great fun, quick and was right for me at the time with moving out and my MINI was out of TLC and had clocked up a nice 45,000 miles
How much could I really save in a Cooper D thats the main question I stick £30 in the VTS and get roughly 220miles, also I know the tax on the Dooper would be an instant saving as im paying £77 for 6mths not £35 for the year How many miles will I roughly get out of the Dooper on £30?
Although I am only spending £159 on a HP payment for the VTS, could I spend similar sorts of money with the car / fuel / tax and be driving a MINI again I wonder

I am getting around 380 miles, with each 32 litres of fuel ( x 94.9p = £30.36). I drive sometimes economically on motorways, with plenty of overtaking and the occasional blast.
Could Easily get 400 out of a tank, or 500 if I kept driving after the '2 bars' until say 10-20 miles range.. Bit risky!
Ive said before I got 60 -62 out of the first 2 tankfulls in it and reckon I could get 64 now if I wanted to. But you can have loads of fun and STILL get 56mpg easily like me now
Just get one, they corner fantastically, it has torque when you need it at low revs and I've found that nobody will embarrass you on the back roads
Of course the new model will get even more mpg, but I don't care i've had months more smiles
The worst you will likely get is 44. Averaged this over 2700 miles to Poland and back. Included loads of flat out stuff, cruising at 120 with a slight down hill top out of 128. Very impressed as we were 3 up with luggage.
