Hello all, I'm new to this part of the internet, but I have just ordered a new Cooper D. Can't believe the cost but after a day long test drive I can see the appeal of the car. It's superbly well built and such a great little engine not to mention the handling.

The spec is;

Mini Cooper D in Pepper White
Black Bonnet Stripes
Black Roof
Chili Pack
Darkened Rear Windows
Multi Function Steering Wheel
White Indicators
Exterior Mirror Pack
Fluid Silver Trim

And now Bi-Xenon headlights

I wasn't too keen on the cream seats or the cream colour line so I went with the black (kinda) half leather and just the standard Dark grey colour line.

As usual the dealer would not budge on the price of the car (

) but I'm getting LifeShine applied free of charge and the stainless steel pedals included too. Dealer also promised and tank of Diesel and Mudflaps at cost price.

After much deliberation I've also decided to get the Chrome Filler cap and the little tray for the the gap infront of the cupholders!

This is my first diesel, and although I don't do diesel miles I was won over by the excellent economy, cheap tax and the torque from the engine.

I'm expecting the car sometime between 17th & 21st of September. Yippie

Yes waiting is no fun but after you get it you will be smilling for a long time to come, nice spec and hope you enjoy when it comes.

Well I'm just home from the dealer. Every thing is now confimed. I've added the Xenon headlights to the spec and I think that's about all!

Car is scheduled for production week 37 with delivery expected week 39, however the dealer did tell me that deliveries have been running early recently so I could get a little earlier than expected!

Did I read somewhere that there is a way to track the production of your car online?

There was a thread from a chap who claimed to work in the factory, and was willing to update you on how your car was doing. I understand nobody ever got through to him, and he vanished into the internet information void!
I pester my salesman to find out how my Dooper is getting on - it came out of the paint shop on FRI morning. Only a couple of weeks to wait now.

I think our friends in the US seem to be able to track the car at every stage!

Hi there congratulations on a great spec! A word of warning.. avoid the mudflaps like the plague. They are rubbish. My dealer fitted them for nothing and the rears fell off twice and the fronts came off after a week. They stick them on using a really strong (so they say) glue which marks your black plastic and i've also got scratches... just don't go there!

Speaking of mudflaps!

.....I was about to look about a set...well at least fronts !.....anyone got pictures, can they not be scewed??

didn't have them on the OneD, but the Dooper deffo sends more cr@p up the doors,....I think the cills are narrower or something!

Evening all, I was speaking to the dealer today and he has confimed that they do not stick their mudflaps on, they screw them on. I'll have to have a look around a few in their yard to see if he's telling the truth!
