I have had my Dooper for a fortnight now and lovin it apart from a rattle coming from the upper dash I think in the area of the cuppy hole for the changer . Does anyone else have this rattle or is it just my car. Will eventually give in and take to dealer but its only a rattle and would prefer to fix myself to save time havin to leave car with dealer

Yeh i have the same rattle in my dooper, but i don't want to mess with the car myself, i'd rather have bmw do it. Keep us updated on how you get on please

I had several rattles in my Dooper, mostly arising from various points on the dashboard. Booked my Mini into Woodmans at Blackpool, to get this Warranty work done. Got a courtesy car(Oxygen blue

) and my Dooper was in for 3 days. Woodmans found 5 rattles, and fixed them all. My advice is take your car back, and get your dealer to fix it.

Thanks to Dave and his great staff at Woodmans, my car is now Superb

yeah, that's what i advise to do... they wont fix themselves and i found that no matter how much i smacked the dash, they would still come back.

i'm getting a JCW S for a courtesy car while mine's in... next tuesday actually - cant wait !

Dooper went in yesterday to get rattle fixed in dash and I have got her back today all fixed and sounding silent. According to the garage a cable was rattling in the top dash so they tied it back, they also fitted a felt kit that MINI supply to dealers for all known rattles. I am happy its all rattle free

I have a rattle which seemed to be coming from behind the dash, but have tracked it down to the gearchange - it's especially prevalent in 4th, putting slight sidewards pressure on the lever and it disappears! Anyone else had this?

i now have another bloody rattle from the left door... grrrrrrr.

Elaine and I both have a creaky rattle which we think is coming from the windscreen. The roads around us aren't the best and it's more or less constant. I wouldn't say it's loud but with the radio off, it can get irritating.

As I have mentioned in the R56 General Faults section, I now have more rattles and creeks. This is after more work has been done at the dealers. Oh dear, my Citroen appears to have better build quality

. Mini booked into the dealers again next week!

mine's going in again for 3 days on the 4th Dec to have the windows looked at for the third time, and also the dashboard and speedo rattles.

****ing me off, but i negotiated a 118 MSport as a courtesy car.
