I'll have to wait four weeks

I've ordered one and I will be delivered in 4 weeks. The dealer had an incoming car and was able to change the specifications to my wishes. I've ordered one in fluid silver with black roof and the chili pack. Since the car is regarded ''green'' in Sweden I will get a refund of about 700 pounds from the government and it's also tax free for about 3 years. It will be a long wait.
Best regards
Lars

Only 4 weeks? Some people in the UK are waiting 6 months! You are very lucky the dealer already had one on order.

Mine's due in... 4 weeks! Perhaps they are making a big batch of Cooper D's at the same time...

The Mini Cooper D needs tax breaks like that in the UK. Fingers crossed here for an announcement in the pre-budget report (usually early December).

Good luck with the car!

Yes I think I will be holding out for any sort of announcement to subsidise the Tax levy on new car purchase for the Cooper D

1st Post, Welcome to MINI 2 also, post some pics up when your new car arrives

"There is some good news for drivers of green vehicles, though. The paper suggests that buyers of models which emit less than 100g/km of CO2 will receive a rebate of up to £2,000. At present, only electric cars such as the G-Wiz and the Volkswagen Polo 1.4 TDI BlueMotion are under that figure."

Having read that article I still hold out hope that a staggered insentive system could be implemented ie: £2,000 for sub 100g/km , £1,500 for sub 110g/km, £1,000 for sub 120g/km AND fingers crossed for petrol Coopers £500 for sub 130g/km cars. I very much doubt the last one as too many vehicles would fall into this bracket.

The government needs to dangle carrots at these kinda CO2 levels to get people to buy greener cars. I'd buy a Cooper D with a £1.500 rebate.

Yes I've been very lucky. I had two days to decide before their order was locked so it was a quick decision.
