Offline | We've been looking for a new car for mrs Black olive for a while now, as her Clio is declining slowly into "muledom". after a few false starts (Peugeot 207CC and MINI cabriolet) we've done our sums, and have plumped for a brand new MINI cooper Diesel ![]() It just so happened that everything sort of fell into place, and the local dealer had just received a brand new car,its in the pepper white ( have you noticed white cars are coming back into vogue) with all the options specced, icluding a sunroof, and Ive changed the alloys to the ones that make it look like a tonka toy .( 7 spoke) Although Its for the missus, Im secretly quite excited, its a super drive, you wouldnt know it was a diesel, ( 70mpg combined and £35 road tax is a plus)and will go some way to balancing my fuel consumption.( I own and MG ZT 260 V8, with the 4.6 litre Mustang engine )the plan of attck is that the clio is used as my work mule on 3 days of the week, I have a MINI adventure on thursday, whilst she collects the shopping car park dings in the clio, and I bring the Mighty V8 into action on a Friday to start the weekend in style. ( oh, and i forgot to mention, she gets to drive the Dooper some days )Furthermore the mule can be used for tasks such as taking the dog to the local beach, and going for bags of plaster etc. so I can keep two clean cars. Does this sound like a good plan or what ![]() Ill post pice up when we bring it home. BTW, a quick question, what colour are the dash lights, forgot to even ask ![]() |

Offline | Congrats on your new Dooper ![]() As for the dash lights, I've been thinking how good it would be if they changed colour with that little mood lighting switch...that way you could change the whole look of the car in the dark! |
