Hi all,

I've just put my deposit down on a MINI Cooper D so as long as everything goes to plan I should have it before the New Year.

I hired a 1st gen MINI last week in Spain and liked it so much I had to have one lol. This will be my 18th car in 6 years!

I was looking at cheaper, first gen MINIs until the saleswoman worked out my sums and offered me the demonstrator they'd had delivered that morning with 1 mile on the clock.

It's got the stop\start thingy etc and has the following options:

- CHILI Pack
- Multi Function steering wheel
- Heated mirrors\washers
- Chrome-line interior
- Chrome-line exterior
- White roof and mirror caps
- Panoramic roof
- Darkened rear glass
- Front arm rest
- Colour Line Dark Grey
- Decor rings
- Piano Black interior trim
- Rain sensors and Automatic Lights
- Bluetooth\USB
- White indicators
- TLC

Very impressed with the dealership and the car although I only drove a similar car and not the one I'm hopefully buying.

Any tips for running it in etc?

Oh yeah... it's Black

Seems to be quite a rare colour for the MINI... can't post a picture until I've posted 5 times.

Oh... errr... it's black lol.

I think it's called "Cloth\Leather Ray Carbon Black"?

Car is "Astro Black"

Nice Spec, there was a similar specced one to that on MINI Cherished, but that was Blue

Running in...I did 1300 miles keeping it under 3000rpm (ish :P).
I've got an astro black too! It's got blue undertones...love it!

It's like the cosmic black (I think it's called) on the BMW's.
Start customising it to your taste...Left a msg on another thread started by you!

Took it with my camera phone so it's not the best... the wheels appear white but are silver etc.

I've prety much confirmed evrything now so I can't wait. Gonna try and speed things up so I can get it sooner but otherwise will hopefully receive it at the end of the month.

Surely with only 1 mile on the clock it's not an 'ex' anything, but a new car?

I did try lol but as Scrogg says it wasn't really a demo car... it was delivered about 2 hours before I went to the garage and the car I test drove was a pepper white one with a few thousand on the clock.

Yeah... that's a good thing because it keeps the risiduals as high as possible.
