The Cooper D is finally on my path. By the sounds of it I was lucky to have only had to wait a week and a half (bought the showroom model with 1 mile on the clock) but it's felt like forever!

I think the car's fantastic and don't regret my purchase one bit. The auto headlights and rain sensors work very well and I love the way it drives.

Will get some pics but for now I'm off to read the instuction manual... something a man should never do but I want to play around with the settings on the computer

Another forum was giving me grief for buying one because it's a BMW... well if this is how good BMWs are then I'll be sticking with them!

don't spend too long reading that manual - takes half the fun of playing with it to see what it does away

Just get out and drive it and when you are somewhere nice and scenic take those pics so we can all see it too

Do read the manual - there are too many drivers around who haven't read the manual or the highway code

I've been hammering the manual but haven't changed anything as everything seems so perfect with it.

I dropped my mates off before and for the first time in years I detoured and went for a drive on some country roads before I came home. It handles so well! This is my 18th car since I started driving (I'm 24) and by far the best.

It feels very similar to the BMW 650 I drove a while back... same materials etc.

Another thing is the engine... it says not to go above 3500RPM within the first 1250 miles in the handbook but I can't get near 3500RPM and it's still really nippy!

Verrry impressed and so were my mates
