to tilt the seat, theres a little lever at the top corner, just on the back - just pull it and it will tilt (if that makes sense )

As for the little lever it must be real small. Another thing is seat memory, when someone gets out of the car from the back is there a way to get it remember where the seat was? Or does it have to be reset every time?

nah don't worry about that, just have fun and then you can enjoy cleaning it afterwards

yeah it's hard to explain really it should go back to the original position, slide the base back first and then push the back of the seat back up. there was a prob with the R56's where it wasn't returning to the last position though - to fix it, tilt the seat forwards and slide it all the way to the front of the car, then if you feel along the rail under the seat, there should be like a little block which slides along it - just push that all the way forwards and then slide the seat right back, it should pick the block up as you push the seat back and then fix it (that probably sounds like a load of gobbledy gook there is a thread on here somewhere though)

Ok guys (and gals) still cannot find the tilt adjustment, even read the manual and doesnt mention anything about tilting. There a big handle at the front right corner for height, bar handle at the front for moving seats back, and a small handle at the left for the backrest adjustment. Does the Mini have tilt adjustment or not?

It dosent bother me if it doesnt, just that if its there I cant find it!

There isn't any tilt adjustment which is a bit pants for a premium car, even with the sports seats.

Just to clarify, I'm talking about the seat base which you can tilt and even extend on BMW sport seats. On the mini only the backrest tilts. I find that the base is a little too flat so I dont get much support under my thighs so I'd get a numb bum if I were driving too far. If I raise the seat base a little its better but not as nice as it could be, I like to sit a bit lower. I'll live with it though.

I agree Bob; you can't even spec decent seats on a MINI so the one thing I'm missing from my old Jag is electric all-way adjustment. I didn't have a memory function on mine though and would certainly have specced that if I could as we have now slimmed to a single car and my wife is nowhere near my size!

I also find the seat angle suits me better when I raise the whole thing a bit to give better support to my thighs. (It's still not a patch on proper Jag seats though!)

(But 50mpg around town beats 20 any day!)
