Thinking of a new Dooper???

Hey friends. i am new to the site only joined today!
I am really thinking of getting a brand new Cooper D or Dooper as you call it! lol

really keen on the low road tax, only £35 is a steal and good mpg! altho it looks lower than BMW claim it should be.
just wanna know how people are finding there Doopers and if residual values look to be as strong as petrol coopers???? also any one who has the Bluefin superchip installed there feedback would be good as thinkin of doing this if i get one (i.e performance and MPG)

Had a petrol Cooper in the past so know how good these cars are just need the final push to purchase and feedback would be great!!!

Dont think, just do it! Admittedly mine went clonk after 55 miles and I haven't seen it since but its coming back tomorrow with a few added bits in compensation and it feels like christmas all over again.

Sure none of us can achieve 72mpg and they're not the fastest hot hatch on the planet but they look great, handle great and they don't even mind piling on the miles down the motorway. Residual values aren't what they used to be and the lead time is only 5 weeks if you phone around but demand for economical quality cars is only going to increase so the Dooper has got to be a good investment.

Go and take a Fiat 500 diesel for a blast you wont need any more justification for a Dooper after that - even James May (Mr Slow) on Top Gear thought the Fiat wasn't up to much.

Yep. Dooper is very nice. It does eerything I need from a car (and is fast enough to get me to work anyway)

Very happy with mine, good performance, very comfortable, done 8500 miles so far. 70mpg is attainable on a run if you drive like a pensioner, but expect to see 62-64mpg in the real world 'A' road driving.

Another vote for the Dooper here. It's certainly fast enough for me: don't forget it handles as well as any other MINI.

If you get your car chipped you might increase the performance, but you will probably make fuel consumption worse. Also, there has been talk on here about possible problems with the particle filter.

We had a 24hour drivith a dooper yesterday and TBH I was impressed

A tad noisy but got used to that very quickly, great performance and response, the leather seats were great, it was PW with full leather and piano black interior dark headling, chromline interior MFSW and flame spoke alloys

It swayed me a bit closer to the R56 as i'm not a fan of the centre console bit, still arent but a great driving car if that doesnt bother you and judging by the sales figures it doesnt bother many

Looking at a Dooper. Will most dealerships give you a 24hr test drive or even a day with a dooper if you give them enough notice?

Gonna have to vouch another vote here! My dad's MCD is superb! Very classy in BRG/White Roof/White Bonnet Stripes. Being a passenger, it's nice to be ridden in and it's pretty amazing in 3rd/4th gears for a 1.6 Diesel. We've got an original Rover Mini (we've now done up by getting chrome skirting all around, latest dash etc) in the same colour and they both look awesome sitting next to each other.

If you're looking for a car that's got an amazing MPG, you do lots of miles or long runs and is fun...... the Dooper it is .

I sat in it last night and makes more exciting for me getting my new Cooper S in less than 6 weeks time .
