Arrow Some advice on the Dooper...ordering 1

hey guys,

i have been thinking on getting a Dooper as my BMW 320 M-Sport is turning out to be a bit more expensive on the diesel than i thought it will be + im 90% sure the price for diesel is going to go up to 1.50 quid per litre!

Now before i order one, i just wanted to find out a few things....

1. can we fit a Works bodykit on the dooper?
2. i read that there will be possibility of chipping the car......would i be able to get 150bhp out of it?
3. has anyone found a stereo facia yet, which enables to change the stereo to an aftermarket one? if not then is it possible to add that SONY_ON_TOP amp that u can do with other BMW?
4. is the car really that economical?? I mean this is the only reason im thinking on getting the Dooper.
5. does it still have the same rattles as the old minis did? My mum has a 51reg cooper and it has many rattle noises.

thanks very much in advance!

1. yes to JCW body kit
2. yes, there is information on chipping in this forum
3. There are a variety of audio upgrades from Mikey the MINI
4. Some people here get nearly 70mpg on a good run (I get 50mpg in my Dooper auto)
5. Most new MINIs don't rattle, but some have problems, just like any car

52 mpg from new without trying on BP Ultimate Diesel, and rising as the engine frees. Dunno why you'd want to chip it though!

There are several highly reputable tuning companies and aftermarket upgrade suppliers in our vendors' section - including Mickey's. But diesel tuning isn't a priority for any that I can think of - probably because few D buyers have felt the need to ask for it yet.

My mpg quote is simply the overall consumption read-out off the computer from new and is probably an average of 20 percent in-town, 55 percent of A and B roads and 25 percent of M-ways - all driven briskly as soon as the running-in was done but no so far over the limit as to risk more points!

My Clubman D certainly won't compete with a 320 M-Sport in a traffic-light grand prix - but that's not what Cooper Ds are all about. So try one; you may hate it, but there's no way I'd do a swap for yours!
