Offline | You're right it's no excuse what so ever And I never even thought of that But saying that, it's just unfortunate that it happened to that Mini because "these things (all be it rarely) happen" - and after a whole year Mini can't just give away new cars because of it, as it's a problem they can fix - HPI checks of your car won't concern them unfortunately ![]() (OFF TOPIC AGAIN!! Sorry Jo )![]() |

Offline | I thought you might say here is a MCS with 30,000 miles, but the engine has only done 10,000. As it is under warranty and all BMW fitted, it may well be a selling point - if everything is running smoothly ![]() |

Offline | First thing you think is its been horsed to death till the engine blew up so what the rest of the car like and secondly even blaming it on factory building you think – well if they got that wrong who ever was doing it what else did they muck up…. Then you walk away… |

Think thats what happened before ![]() Ahh well, OMG this Cooper is soo gutless compared to what im used to, god knos ho many times I swore at it on the way to work ![]() |

| Useless... | You have to get used to lots of noise and gear changing if you want a Cooper to hurry up - Not a patch on the Fieata though - I'm 1/2 deaf keeping up with everyday traffic!! I really would like to try a Dooper - The difference between the Cooper and Dooper sounds huge, and the Cooper IMO wasn't that much slouch ![]() And don't worry Jo, I'm not hinting ![]() |

Offline | Well Puzzle is at the dealership till Thursday afternoon at the earliest now ![]() They basically say if they cant find anything I will get the car back and thats it, but on speaking to Customer Services they say I wont get the car back until they are perfectly happy they have tried and tested everything possible. Im non too happy about them driving my car about but tbh I have no choice Ive now mentioned the Autocar article to 2 people at the dealership and also to the guy at customer services, both seemed interested as 'its not something theyve heard of before' ![]() Thank god for having a decent specced loan car, dont think I could cope with the other Clubbies ive had for any length of time!! Will see what the next couple of days brings! |

| Useless... | Sorry to hear this Jo - Sorry, but they must be aware of Autocar's problems - If they haven't, then my nan is the prime-minister A dumb question I know and a little irrelevant, but who will pay for the Diesel I'd get them to stick a full tank in there after what they may use.Last edited by mister.t : Apr 22nd, 2008 at 05:42 PM. Offline | Hmmmmm....hate to say i told you so...BUT....i told you so!!! I think i said somewhere that if it doesnt do it while they look at it then they wouldnt be able to fix it . This is the problem with an intermitant fault . Lets hope that it actually does it while one of them is out driving it or you will get it back with nothing done ![]() |

| Useless... | Saw Puzzle today - Had to pop into service to get the Mini booked in to get something sorted out - Anyway, the fact of the matter was the car wasn't in the workshop All well and good running around in it to see what happens, but what about the bits in-between? Surely they could be doing something ![]() |
