They are doing something Ollie

Ive had a long chat this afternoon with the Workshop Controller who is directly involved with my car. He explained the reason they have had it so long and still need it is because BMW Technical are now involved there is constantly info going between them and that SC have to wait till they reply, so they can carry out what ever necessary (which is why sometimes it will be in the carpark). When I was on the phone to him they had started the next set of test which apparently include the Clutch Sensor and the bit where the key goes in.

Also spoken to the guy at Customer Services who is in contact with the Service Manager. He basically said they are taking it very seriously as it is potentially a safety issue, and they need to do these tests. He said if SC cannot provide a car then they will get involved and sort one for me.

The upshot is that I still might not (its unlikely by what they are saying) get Puzzle back tomorrow, but like I said to him, i'd rather they kept it till either its fixed or they can suggest no more. I think the Clubman is going to have to go back tomorrow (will find out in the morning) but I have been promised by, Sales, Service and Customer Services that I will not be without a car while mine is off road. I may not get another MINI, I might get a BMW, but as long as ive got a car to get about im not fussed.

We shall see what happens tomorrow with the next set of calls I (hopefully) receive....

Oh yea, the last time you saw it the Chrome grille was on it, the Aero Grille ties in better with the car I think

Until I know what is happening I cant really think about what will happen next.

I know its taking you off topic Jo (and i apologise for doing it) but have you seen the new Insignia down at your place yet or is it to early...it looks very nice , a welcome change from the Vectra!

We were shown one back in Feb Its ok I guess, nicer than the current Vectra, but has 'bmw' written all over it in styling terms

I think it looks more like a Merc to be honest but BMW or Merc classic lines cant be a bad thing ....can it??



Anyway ...i do really hope puzzle is sorted for you this week because its about time you had the car trouble free so you can actually enjoy owning it!!

He said 'we all want to know whats going on with the wildlife on your dashboard, and do they have names'

Theres Shaun Sheep, Quack Quack Jo, and JoJo the monkey He laughed and said he'd let them all know He also asked if i'd named the car and I said its called 'puzzle' for obvious reasons Made me smile
