Has the stop start problem been sorted then Jo ?, or at the very least have they acknowledged there is a problem there with a fix to follow.

Got my Puzzle MINI back

They tell me they have replaced the Clutch Position Sensor which is where they say the found the fault, and that should hopefully cure the problem.

8 weeks, 7 visits back, 7 days without the car, 4 courtesy cars and Im hoping this time ive got a proper MINI!!!!

...also on the way back, Puzzle met Bow

I really do hope its all ok this time and they really have done what they say they have! (cant see why they would lie though, not with MINI UK involved )

The clutch feels different for some reason, feels a lot lighter than it did

You'll soon get used to the way the new clutch feels Jo . Hopefully this will fix it, and you'll have no further problems .

With the stop start working properly, perhaps this is how the clutch should have felt all along . Do you now what other parts were changed, other than the sensor ?.

The clutch on the Clubman I had was very, very light in comparison with the R53 clutch I'm used to.

No its just the sensor they have replaced, nothing else that ive been told. The sensor is in the master cylinder, so would they have had to do something to the clutch??

It felt different as soon as I got in the car in the carpark, but I didnt go back in to question it as I thought it was just the fact id been driving the Cooper all week! But i dunno, its definatly different im sure of it!

If you say it feels different, then i believe you Jo . I suppose you could ring them and say "it feels different, is this normal after having it worked on". Or you could just run it for a few days or a week, and see how it goes.

Just an Idea, seen as the sensor is in the master cylinder, wouldn't they have had to empty the system of fluid and then refill it to change the sensor?
