Offline | Hi guys just to say I ordered a new Dooper yesterday from a dealer in Derby - spec is: Cooper D Lightning Blue White roof & stripes Standard alloys (ebay 17 inch bullets planned) Standard black interior seats Piano black Interior & Exterior Chrome Pepper pack PLUS: upgrade to sport steering wheel (not mfsw) upgrade to auto air conditioning Auto lights / wipers TLC 5yrs Think that's it - list was £16,615 on the road all in - shopped around 6 dealers on the telephone and best deal I got was £16,000 including low loader transport to my front door - ETA 6 weeks. What do you think - is this a good deal or should I have aimed for more discount? Thx Rich |

Offline | Considering that discounts used to be unheard of on MINI's, £615 seems to be amazing on a current model MINI, especially on a diesel which is the most sought after. Maybe MINI sales aren't as easy as they used to be ![]() Can I assume (as you are asking for delivery) that this is not a local dealer? I'd always prefer to try and get the best price possible out of my local dealer (unless they are rubbish!) as I like to build up a good working relationship with the dealer that is likely to service my car and look after any warranty claims that I may have. May '08: Due to certain recent events on this site, I no longer wish to continue posting on Mini2. Such a shame after 4 otherwise very happy years on here If you are a friend, I can always be contacted here! |

Offline | I got the £150 TLC from my dealer, £20 off the iPod, rubber mats, and there was an extra £100 or so floating around somewhere that was to do with making up the deposit as they changed the trade in price Oh and that was on a brand new Dooper ![]() £615 seems good to me! |

Offline | Yes good to hear the feedback I did think it was a good discount. As somebody said the dealer is not local to me - I am in High Wycombe and the dealer is in Derby. Not ideal but then I did try to get my local dealers to match off and they weren't too interested. |

Offline | No discount on price of car for me!! However, I am getting £300 more for trade in of my car than the first dealer offered and they are giving me about £200 off GAP insurance which I will be buying off them. I think you've done well with £615! |

Offline | I keep reading of people getting: TLC Mats Fuel Superguard etc etc...... We even had to pay more than other dealers charge for delivery!! They say it's because the put an oil refil in the car and add fuel! - it never was full ! ![]() ....and other local dealers say they will do this anyway in their lower delivery charges! ![]() |
