Whats the MPG now on your D

So after many months of happy motoring what’s the MPG sitting at now on your D. Got told by the dealer 55MPG was more realistic figure. but i've been on Pistonheads today and they are all saying they only get about 51Mpg no matter.

Don’t mind 50MPG mucking about but I’d like to think on a run I’d get 60-65MPG.

It's currently 47.3 mpg, 90% is motorway driving

However car is only 5 days old - hoping it will get better!

Fast motorway driving will push the mpg down as the Mini's aero isn't that hot.

I get 55 average (country lanes, dual carraigeway and a bit of town driving) but when I do an A road run I can eek it out to 72 if I try. A cross county hack this week with a bit of sprited driving here and there gave 63mpg.

55 mpg average with mixed driving (motorway, A-roads, town cruising).
Can go up to 65/70ish (on a journey) if I'm content sitting behind slow moving vehicles, but more often than not, I'll push the Sport button (useless!) and weave in and out of traffic.

I've had the car since the end of January, and have now covered 3500 miles, I last reset the trip around 3200 miles ago and I'm averaging 54.5 mpg. I know i could improve on this average, but that would mean i would have to drive like a grandad which is no fun at all.

Hello,

I've just had a Cooper D as a courtesy car and found that over distance sitting at 50mph (well 25 miles) I could average 80mpg (according to the onboard computer). Of course this average messes up as soon as you press the throttle more than about 10%! By comparison in my R56 MCS I would achieve 50mpg, so you're all 30mpg ahead! Impressive fuel consumption. Performance perky between 1800rpm and 3200rpm, in fact going from 30mph to 50mph in 3rd gear the dooper and the MCS are quite similar.

Now completed 3500 miles, overall figure for that distance now stands at 57.9mpg.
Calculating on fill ups has given averages of 54mpg up to 68mpg.
With one 120 mile trip on the motorway giving 72mpg.

Same as Supa-Dupa, my car is running on 17's.

Done 8500 miles, and my Dooper seems to sit around 56mpg . If I drove a bit more conservative on the motorway I am sure it would improve a bit

Mine's been sitting at 63.3mpg for the last week or so, got 13,000 miles under its wheels now so loosened up nicely. Mainly 'A' road driving.
