Dooper's first 10k

Vin passed 10,000 miles on the way into work this morning - in just under 6 months of fantastic MINI motoring

Might have to have a quiet word with the dealer, as that's gonna put him, er, somewhat over the estimated yearly mileage, but I'm still loving every minute...

I've estimated 10k p/a mileage with my insurer... likewise, I suspect it wont be enough

No probs with your Dooper to date?

Touch wood, none at all (hope that doesn't jinx it...)

Keep thinking he's getting ever so slightly more rattly reversing off the drive, but that's possibly just paranoia from reading supa-dupa-coopers posts . Certainly my other half who only tends to drive him about once or twice a week hasn't noticed any difference...

, I should ban myself from reading the 'bad dooper' posts, they do indeed induce some paranoia and I don't even have mine yet

Glad to hear yours is all good, I'm looking forward to the same!

Haha no worries - good to know you haven't been put off MINIs full stop

So you won't be getting your hands covered in diesel any more? Actually I've mastered a trick with two rips of free garage roll that keeps my hands AND Vin totally dry and diesel-free

My day-in-day-out is a 44-mile return trip with a bit of urban, a curvy B-road, a one-junction blast of Motorway and bit of A-road thrown in too...

Ohhhh yes, apart from a few speed-humps at the start, its a perfect MINI run

And now to think back I even contemplated a 1-series... <shudders>
