Hi All, Seriously contemplating going with a new Dooper for my next company car in January and have a few questions about the options: 1) Does the basic one come with front fog lights ? 2) Does the sports suspension really make a difference ? I'm really hoping it will handle well. 3) Sports button - worth it ? 4) Considering Q2, will 16" 'ers suffice ? I've only got a limited amount of dosh to spend on options and am weighing up whether to go for basic with extras or Pepper/Chilli pack. Thers's so may choices, its doing my head in !!! TIA OBee

Welcome to MINI2 ![]() I would go for at least the Pepper Pack and a few options. Or failing that the Chili Pack ![]() 1) I think the Front Fogs come with the Pepper pack. 2) Personally im not convinced by it. Having driven a JCW with it, I prefer it on that to on the likes of a Cooper D. I never had it on my D (dont have it on my S). It makes the ride quite harsh, but then again Ive only driven cars with sports suspension that are riding on big alloys! 3) Yes! Now I never had this on my Cooper D as I didnt think I needed it (doesnt seems to make much difference on a std Cooper either) , BUT one of my many courtesy cars was a Cooper D with sport button, and it made a difference to the car for me! I really liked it having it, seems to give it a bit more oomph and changes the steering!!! Made it closer to my S (well ish )4) 15" = comfort, 16" = comfort and looks, 17" = looks ![]() Hope you decide what to do!

Cheers Supa-dupa-cooper. I think I'll go for the Chilli pack with a few choice extras, however i'm undecided on which ones ![]() Def go for the sports button but not so sure about sports suspension. I'll be doing a few miles in it as a do punt around the country a bit with my job and don't want something too crashy. Think i'll go for the basic bluetooth + MSFW + armrest as I want the armrest for storage and 16" bridge alloys. To be honest i've not driven one yet and i'm hoping to have a lengthy test drive over the next few weeks. Great work on a great site, has answered lots of questions so far without posting. Ta OBee

The Chili pack is just that bit nicer with having the Sports seats and it helps the car when it comes to resale, moreso than having the Pepper pack I would think. All the other options are personal choice, but you've already mentioned one of the main ones there - MFSW! The Cooper D is a cracking little car, I did like mine (for the first few days at least)...cant believe its a year ago since I ordered it!!! So much has happened since then, so many different MINI keys have gone through my hands ![]() Go test drive one

If I were you, I'd go for the full bluetooth prep then as it gives the arm rest and the MFSW as well and it's only an extra fiver! It's £585 with Pepper pack (Basic BT £295, MFSW £170, Arm Rest £115 = £580). Cheers, F |
