Dooper Delight

Just got back from hols in France, 2000 miles on £120 of Derv.
Computer says 69.7 MPG but I work it out at 74 ish.
Anyway well pleased as that included three hours of stop start in Paris (with the engine stop switched off). Not sure if French diesel is a different spec to UK Diesel but the car just seemed to run better and more efficiently on it.
Missus is well pleased as well we only saw one other new Mini and that was English, they still attract admiring looks.

I have been visiting France for the last 15 years on a regular basis and mostly in Diesiel's, and often have wondered the same, the car always seems to run a little better and return better mpg. So it's not just me.

I dont need to make my car go faster, I just need to learn to drive it faster.

You do notice when your putting french diesel in that is thicker and has a different smell.

I did try the Total higher spec diesel stuff (maybe their version of Shell V-power) costing a little bit more, i did,nt notice any performance change the the consumption was the same !.
