Sorry that's me not knowing what day it is, meant Feb 2010, and I think the new engines came in in March 2010, so yes you're right, you've got the BMW engine. I'll update my original post!
I've got a 2009 Dooper with about 70,000km on the clock. Use it primarily for highway driving between 110 and 140km/hr, fairly flat trajectory everyday (basically between work and home).
I'm getting 4.8L/100km which converts to about 49 miles per gallon I believe. Tends to increase to 4.9L/100km (respectively 48mpg) in winter (use of heater, winter tires, etc...). Have been getting these consistently since I purchased the car. Don't have much occasion to use the stop/start function since this is highway driving. I imagine it may improve somewhat with proper and routine use of the stop/start.
What kind of figures are you expecting?
Pretty sure the flat spots are normal, I get no juice out of mine in anything higher than 3rd gear and power development starts to take off somewhere between 1500 and 2000rpms. Acceleration in 4th gear is pretty flat for me. I think that's normal for the PSA engine.
i am getting 46.9 lifetime mpg over the 1050 miles its done. 4mpg more than the citroen c2 i used to drive so i am disappointed with that aspect, but as for everything else, it is an absolutely brilliant piece of kit!
