Exclamation Cooper D total electrical failure

My mini has been unused in about two months, it started ok and drove ok for about 45 minuets, then the sterro stopped working, then abs warning light came on followed by every other electrical warning light/picture, the. Then My head lights dimmed and the steering went heavy I pulled over and she just died, (which I think was due to me leavening it in gear and stalling ). I tried to start her but the battery appeared dead, I left it 3 mins tried to start and it turned over a few times but with no joy I then left it about 15 mins and it started fine like new then 5 mins sitting static all the power went lights dimmed untill they were no more but the car stayed running. I tried revving the car but lights reminded off and a partical filter warning light came on. I turned the engine off and then restarted, once started everything was back to normal. I then drove 1.5 hours home with no problems. Has anyone had this problem or does any one have a clue as to what might be wrong?

The mini is a 2007 copper D 69k miles

Many thanks for reading, Chris

Sounds like the battery isn't holding a charge. I think replacing it should solve your issues.

Thanks for the reply. The charge seams ok on the battery today and it's running as usaual. I took it to a garage to have it looked at and it's come up with 6 fault codes pretty much all the ones that flashed up on the screen, they swam to think there is a bigger underlining fault. So it's looking like a warreny claim. I will keep you posted as to the out come.
