DPF warning light (only for a second)

Afternoon, all.
My 2009 R56 Mini Dooper flashed the DPF warning light for a split second on Saturday.
I was parking, it came on, I then switched the car off and it hasn't come back on since.
Since it happened, I've been making an effort to drive the car much harder than normal.
The light hasn't come back on.
Is it only a matter of time until it does and I should investigate options?
Options I'm looking at are aftermarket DPF units (approx £200 on the internet) or getting the DPF gutted and ECU mods.
Am I being paranoid, should I just wait for repeated episodes of the warning light?
Car has done 49700 miles with full TLC history.

Likely just needs to go through a regeneration cycle. If you are really paranoid about it, take it to the dealership and they can read the stored code to get at the source of the fault.

I've got over 75,000 miles on my 2009 Clubman D and haven't had any trouble whatsoever with my DPF, so I'm pretty sure you don't have to go looking for aftermarket solutions or anything at your mileage.
