Bear with me please as this is my first post.
Finally got our test drive on Saturday, all i can say is absolutely awesome!!
All the little negatives i've been reading about are far and away outweighed by all the positives.
Performance, gearbox, brakes, noise, ride quality etc etc.
Just brilliant.
Only one big problem we are no. 47 on the list at Scothalls in Cambridge, and we've been told next February at the earliest. (ordered back in March) Is this about right???

Hi Big Dave, and welcome to MINI2.com

If you would like your Cooper S earlier it might be worth phoning around a few MINI dealerships as there waiting list varies.

I'd second that. The particular dealer you mention seems to have an excessive waiting list which should be fairly easy to better by phoning round. You could do worse than trying some of the dealers in the Midlands.

Dave,It pays to shop around as I was quoted Oct/Nov from the dealers where I live so I made a quick phone call to our resident dealer who shall remain nameless in Blackpool and hey presto delivery is now August 20th .

PS,I placed my order with them on the 30/5/2002.
