Can't decide what to get? %15 or %17

I'm going to do some autocross and track days but I can't decide which pulley should I get. I've been reading the forum and doing some research but nobody seems telling which one is best.

My car is a 06 spec MCS and I already know it has a light crank pulley, and I think I don't need to get a crank pulley what do you thing?

ok here's a quick rundown....15% is basically like a works pulley, (a works is 14.3 or similar), and is the safest option. You will get two important performance enhancements, quicker onset of boost low-down, and increased boost throughout the rev range, as you no doubt already know...

The smaller the pulley, the more boost you get, and a 15% is still well within the capabilities of the supercharger. The 19% is for pure power, and is out of the the supercharger's capabilities if you do a lot of high-rev driving. It basically meant for very hard pull from low revs, and i wouldn't recommend it for motorkhanas. The 17% pulley is fairly new on the scene, and is a good comprimise between the 15 and 19, and the supercharger can deal with a 17% reduction pulley if you do a lot of high rev driving. I have yet to hear any problems with a 15 or a 17% pulley, and i know a few people that have got them. I personally would say that the best is the 17% pulley, and in your situation, that's what i'd go with. But the safe option is the 15%, and with the 15, expect an extra 20 or so bhp...

Do bear in mind tho, that with the 17%, and the 19% pulley, get the corresponding reduced size belt, and you'll need new sparks. Most ppl round mini2 recomment Denso Iridium IK22 spark plugs. And yes, upgrade your ecu. I've got MTH, its brilliant.

Hope that helps,
Elie
