Newbie Question

Hi there, new here so be nice

I am currently looking into buying a MCS. I have seen one on a 52 UK plate. It is currently on 50,000 miles and 1 owner.

Will 50,000 miles be ok on a S? I expect it would but would like to check. What warrenty do these cars come with 3years?

The car comes without a cd player but has a tape unit installed, is there anyway to connect a cd changer onto this? Have read somewhere this is possible.

Anyother tips or pointers when buying a used S?

Here is a picture:

Thanks in advance!

50,000 should be okay as long as the price is right...

Check to see if the car comes with a TLC package which should give you 6-7 years of services. As fare as I know they came with 3 years warrenty.

If car has 50,000 it will not be covered by TLC as that expires at 50K
ask them to include TLC XL which extends free servicing upto 5 years old or 80,000
the warrenty will have run out when the 55 plate came out! but if bought under the "cherised" programme BMW/Mini will give you 1 year warrenty as part of the deal

Also it is possible to fit a CD autochanger in the boot interfaced to a tape/radio but ONLY if the radio has BOOST! so check!

Id buy it and get an aftermarket cd player fitted, any car audio place will be able to do that. Either that or get a changer in the boot, but id go towards an aftermarket one it'll give you better quality sound than the crabby oem one!

it's from a non mini dealer so wouldn't be able to get the warrenty upgraded.

Was thinking of just getting a aftermarket unit anyway. Just to confirm!

It's currently up for £11,495 - too high for the millage? I'll be trading in a classic cooper sport too so I was looking to get him down to 11k.

Anyother sites around with used S's on them? Been looking at autotrader, mini cherished, ebay and here.
