Offline | Yeah thats not a bad point at all, if i knew this earlier i probably would have went for the 17% pulley. They only thing is that the 15% can be driven really hard with no problems, im sure i heard any more than a 15% and the car should not be driven so hard. willie |

| 8/10 on the Stoogometer | That's nice of them . I'm inviting all the victoria mini owners to my parent's restaurant on thursday, but i should be home by the time you've finished hooning around with your new pulley . Enjoy.Elie P.S. The link didn't work for some bizarre reason |

Offline | There is another mod where you remove all the stock plumbing before the throttle body and simply bolt a K&N 1520 or 1550 (i think) directly to the throttle body. This should cost about 30-40 USD, or just the cost of the filter and shipping. You can read about it here and can read some claimed dyno numbers here. This thing is called the HAI (hot air intake) for lack of a better term. The whole CAI dyno think is a very contentious issue over on NAM so be prepared for a great deal of vitriol and bile flung about. It kind of reminds me of the flame wars that used to (still do?) occur on the rec.audio.pro newsgroup in the 90's, when the double-blind-testers would go after the i-don't-need-to-test-to-know-its-better crowd. These flame wars are nothing compared to those. Nonetheless, it is a cheaper alternative that ostensibly produces power though it certainly isn't as pretty. |

| Noob | Since this thread has been ressurected (I had nothing to do with it!); I figured I could chuck in a question here. Of all those higher up in this thread who went out to get the Alta Induction Kit, did you all get the cover for the top as well? Not quite sure if it's better to have a cover or not - as it's a lot "safer" to have one here in Perth, West Australia. I've had plenty of "Yellow Stickers / Defects" in my previous car, so didn't want this filter to give me a unnecessary headache as such. Thoughts? Justin |
