Offline | Cooper S Colours Is anyone else aware that MINI have stopped the availability of Liquid Yellow and Electric Blue from last September? Argueably the two "funkiest" colours, as a liquid yellow driver I am very angry and cannot understand the reason for this decision! MINI's are supposed to be about being individual "different" and "funkier" than all the other boring cars around but MINI/BMW obviously don't care about this. Does anyone else feel the same? Write to BMW Customer Relations, Bracknell, England as I have already done. I had intended to buy another new Cooper S in Liquid Yellow in the new year but now will not be doing so and will now hang onto the one I've got. Is this the beginning (together with the US imposed impending change from supercharger to turbocharger) the thin end of the wedge regarding the gradual ruination of a currently superb car?? |

Offline | Yes, it's quite old news. A lot of people are unhappy with the complete end of Electric Blue, and the lack of Yellow on the S, there's a few threads on here. I don't see why you call the change to the new engine as US imposed though, as it's not at all. Mellow Yellow is a new colour that's around the corner (how far I'm not sure), which sounds promising. |

Offline | I've just checked the MINI site in Mexico (mini.com.mx). And Liquid Yellow is still there, among the colours offered for the MCS...(black is too)! I wonder if this is just an error in the mexican site...! ![]() |

Offline | I actually think that is good news for current owners of both colours. If these are no longer available it means your cars will be more sought after. Electric Blue has always been popular and to a degree I think over saturated the Cooper S market. I was considering buying a second hand S until I recently decided to go for new and the Autotrader pages are full of Electric Blue Ss. That's why I went for Chili Red. |
