We ordered a Cooper S Indy Blue White top, Chili options (ie 17" 8-spokes, Xenon, Full leather lapis blue etc).

Never seen one "S"- picture yet in these colors...

Please help us,

Another Dutch forum member, cool And finally one (besides me) who actually orders a MCS instead of Toyota Corola's, TT's and CTR's I'm afraid there's no picture of a IB S available yet. Have seen pictures of the S in any colour combo but just not yet in IB. Maybe OnlyS4Me the Duch image master of this site can do a photoshop, don't know.

Where did you order your car and when will it arrive? Chilli pack does not include full leather BTW. You get the 1/2 leather satellite, but you can upgrade for about euro 900 to full leather.

Hi QQQ,

We ordered our Car at Ekris Utrecht/Mini Veenendaal.
I know the Chili-pack doesn't include the full leather, but we upgraded as you mentioned.
To be complete, our MCS will look like this:
Indy Blue, White roof, 17" 8-spoke silver wheels , CD-upgrade, Laether Lapis Blue, Head-airbags, Xenon lights, DSC, Climate-Control and factory-alarm. Didn't get the visibility-pack like auto mirror, auto-rainwipe because that would slow down delivery until januari.

Our car is ordered in june, expected to be delivered in October ( i.e. this year I hope )
It's a shame there isn't a order-following-system like in the USA. We also do not have the TLC

- Do you know how many S-s are sold in the Netherlands
- Where do you come from?
- Do you already have your S or when will you get it

For 2002 the Netherlands only get 100 MCS's, they're all sold as far is I know. Spoke to MINI Den Haag (part of BMW Netherlands) a while ago and they weren't too optimistic about the S's coming to the Netherlands in 2003, mainly due to the mountain high demand of the S in the US and UK (which are more important markets for BMW). He gave me an optimistic estimate of 200 for 2003. Makes our car pretty exclusive hah

I ordered mine in January of this year at Breeman Rotterdam (which is were I live also). They will only get 6 this year, I was nr. 3 on their list Scheduled for delivery week 31, so counting the days now

Nice spec you're having there BTW. Don't visit this site to often though, it makes you doubt about anything you ordered, I changed my order 4 times Seriously, this site is amazing. You can find anything about the MINI over here. You'll be knowing more of the S than your dealer before you know it

P.S.
Don't know whether TLC is available in the Netherlands. Doesn't really bother me cause mine's a company car, which means maintenance is for the lease company and, more important, fuel is for the boss

BTW, did you already get a test drive in an S? What did you think?

Yep,

Did my testdrive 1 week ago, it was the only one left for test-driving, but it was already sold and the new owner would only let "S"-buyers take it for a little spin...(Who knows it maybe yours, it was a DS )

I didn't get to driving it full though, because Sylvia, my wife who was with me, was a little sick at that time so I wasn't allowed to drive through fast corners etc. (until SHE got the wheel, then her condition was OK )
So at the end we got a good impression about the forces one can expect. (Must say that it had driven only 900 Km, so it should loosen up a little more)

Tell me about your experiences in the S and btw in what business you are for getting a MCS for lease

It's nice to hear there aren't that much cars available for the rest , but it makes me wonder if ours will come in october. We do have a production number, but we don't have a production date yet

Must say at first we went for the Electric Blue, but afterwards the IB was more "Classy".

Hi Ger,
Had a test drive two weeks ago. Got the salesman on the passenger seat who stimulated me to really push it Even got the DSC to do where it's for at one moment. Was really relieved about the ride after reading some critics about the long gearing and the handling at high speeds. Just loved loved every bit of it!! I was especially impressed by the delivery of the engine in the upper revs (4.500 to 6.800 rpm). It really keeps on going and going

As to your October delivery. I wouldn't worry about that since you have a production number allocated.

We have a very liberal lease policy at our office (I work for a law, notary and tax consultancy firm), we can pick every car we like (within a certain budget of course).As to that I'm a very lucky man

I think you made the right choice going for the IB. I must say I did like EB/w much at first (even had one on order on a certain moment) but found the blue too light when I saw it in the flesh. All IMHO of course. I'm very happy with the combo I'm now having

Do you have the white or the metal coloured S-spokes on yours?

Erwin, the wheels are silver.
A friend of Syl, had white wheels put on her Peugeoy 104 Rally. It looke like a toy-car afterwards
But .... it could be the car itself .....

You get the Pirelli Euphora's run flats, I'd rather have the Dunlop, like the tread of them better.
